It’s that time of year- the house looks bare when the Christmas decorations come down and only the toffees are left in the Quality Street tin. Who ate all the good ones first?
We have spent a lot of time over the Christmas break having a bit of a rest and looking back on the first six months of being gin distillers.
We still can’t quite believe how much people seem to like our gin, and the support that we have had from friends, neighbours and our local community. We set out to create a modern, distinctive Welsh gin for the true gin aficionado- and there seem to be a lot of you out there!
Since June 2018, we have developed a loyal and supportive group of stockists from Newtown to Cardiff, Monmouth to St. Davids. We have also won an international award, had a few TV appearances (more makeup next time, please) and been accosted for selfies at the Eisteddfod.
Jin Talog has been spotted in Lima, Auckland and Vancouver thanks to the Welsh diaspora. We also believe that it is being enjoyed somewhere in Carmarthen- Delyth, you know we’re talking about you.
We have discovered an extensive network of food and drink producers all over Wales who are serious and dedicated to being the best and making the highest quality Welsh products, whether it is in the food and drink sector, gifts, furniture or craft. We are proud to join their ranks. There is so much to celebrate here in Wales.
We are having a break for a few weeks to recharge, but we are already planning for 2019, including more appearances at shows and festivals, more of our signature juniper gin, and new limited editions, the botanicals for which are already growing quietly in our orangery.
So thank you for supporting us so far. It’s been hard work but lots of fun, and the best thing of all has been to meet so many great people all over Wales who share our excitement about gin. Diolch i chi gyd!
