AWARD WINNING GIN
We hate to brag, but forgive us just this once. Like the Oscars and the Brits, gins also have awards, and like the Grammys and ‘best heavy metal band in Talog’, not all awards are created equally.
Since launch, we have won numerous awards, but the three that we are especially proud of are two global awards and one, equally important, super local one. Try our award winning gin today!

Jin Talog is the only welsh gin, to date, to have won 3 stars at the Great Taste Awards!
Yes, we were at the awards ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in Park Lane. Jin Talog stood proud amongst its many competitors. We rocked the red carpet and took home the prize! This meant that were nominated for a Wales Golden Fork – one of the top three food and drinks products in Wales! Not bad eh?
Jin Talog was judged to be:
Marked and resonant juniper on the nose, spicy with a nutty base. Gloriously smooth on the palate, and expressive of juniper, even at the level of the bark on the bush. What a relief, and an unexpected pleasure. A good, solid tonic base you can dress up with a slice or indeed with anything you like – loved the length of juniper lingering on after sipping the tonic. Surely a fantastic base for a dry martini – you find your perfect vermouth and add that perfect twist of juniper – just what these judges have been looking for. Kind of perfect.
We also won Gold at our first attempt in the:
Prestigious International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) IWSC Design and media awards
The judges awarded scores ranging between 90 and 92.9 to give Jin Talog the “Spirits Artwork and Bottle Design” gold medal. We had worked closely with Percolated Design, a Narberth based branding, design and imaging agency; both small businesses have our roots firmly in West Wales. Working together on the bottle and branding, we took on the world and succeeded in winning the gold medal, competing against large international brands with large marketing budgets and global design teams, a world away from our small, craft distillery in rural Carmarthenshire.
Finally and possibly our most important award is the
Best plastic free stall at Aberystwyth Sea 2 Shore festival
We had some tough competition, but we at Jin Talog are super meticulous at weeding out single use plastics in everything we do and so this award is absolutely the most important – for all of us.
